Did you catch the news about the fresh productivity enhancement from our pals at Google?
They’ve recently sprinkled a nifty addition into Google Calendar that might just simplify your life – particularly if you’re one of the many hybrid workers out there.
Cast your mind back to 2021, when they first gave us the ability to share our working location with our teammates? Well, they’ve just raised the bar.
Now, you have the flexibility to assign multiple locations for any day on your calendar. So, whether you’re dividing your day between the office and home, or constantly on the move, Google’s got your back.
Imagine this scenario: you’re at the office for just half a day before jetting off to a client meeting. Thanks to this new feature, your colleagues will have no trouble knowing precisely when and where to locate you.
Google’s mission is to enable us to work more intelligently, not more strenuously. They recognise that loads of us are either working from afar or balancing a combination of office and remote work. This update is tailor-made for hybrid workers like you.
It’s exclusively accessible to those with a Workspace account, including:
- Google Workspace Business Standard/Plus
- Enterprise Standard/Plus
- Education Fundamentals/Standard/Plus
- The Teaching and Learning Upgrade
- Nonprofits
Regrettably, those with personal accounts will have to wait a bit longer for access.
The working location feature will be activated by default. But don’t worry, if you’d rather your colleagues didn’t know your whereabouts (no judgement here… distractions happen to the best of us), you can effortlessly switch it off.
